Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 27, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how FormReceipt (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and service at formreceipt.com and related subdomains (the “Service”).
Who we are
FormReceipt provides contact form monitoring: we use browser automation to open pages you configure, attempt test submissions, store run results and related artifacts, and send service-related email (for example, receipt confirmation and account messages).
Information we collect
We collect information in the following categories, depending on how you use the Service.
Account and authentication
If you create an account, we process your email address, name (if you provide it), a password hash, and account status (for example, whether your email is verified).
To keep you signed in, we use a first-party session cookie (and store session data server-side).
Billing and subscriptions
Paid plans may be processed by our billing partner (Freemius). We receive subscription status and identifiers needed to apply your plan; we do not store full payment card numbers on FormReceipt servers.
Service configuration and monitoring data
When you configure monitors, we store URLs, form targeting details (such as CSS selectors), schedules/time zones, notification settings, and related workspace metadata.
When our automation runs, we may collect technical data such as HTTP status information, browser events, screenshots, page content excerpts needed to operate the Service, submission outcomes, diagnostic messages, and timestamps.
If you or your teammates confirm receipt via email links or in-product actions, we store those responses in connection with the relevant run.
Communications
If you contact support or reply to service email, we process your message content and email headers needed to respond.
Website analytics (marketing pages)
On public marketing pages we may load Google Analytics (Google Tag / gtag) when configured. This may set cookies and send usage events to Google. See our Cookie Policy for details.
How we use information
- Provide, operate, secure, and improve the Service.
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, prevent abuse, and troubleshoot issues.
- Run scheduled tests, generate alerts, store artifacts (such as screenshots), and show history in your dashboard.
- Send transactional and service-related email (including verification, password reset, receipts/confirmations, and billing notices when applicable).
- Comply with law and enforce our Terms.
Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where GDPR applies, we rely on contract (providing the Service), legitimate interests (security, reliability, product improvement), consent where required (for example certain cookies/analytics where applicable), and legal obligations.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies for sessions on authenticated parts of the product and may use analytics cookies on marketing pages when enabled. Details are described in our Cookie Policy.
Sharing and subprocessors
We share information with service providers who help us run the Service, such as hosting/infrastructure providers, email delivery providers, queue/job infrastructure (for example Redis/BullMQ operations), billing/payments providers, and analytics providers when enabled. These providers may only use information as instructed by us for service delivery.
Retention
We retain information as long as needed to provide the Service and for legitimate business purposes (including security and legal compliance). Run artifacts such as screenshots may be retained for a limited period consistent with product settings and operational cleanup jobs. Account data is retained until you delete your account or we delete it in accordance with our policies.
Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
International transfers
If we transfer personal data internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by applicable law.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You may also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise rights, contact us using the details below.
Children
The Service is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and revise the effective date above.
